The COVID-19 lockdown has changed the way we live our lives. Current social distancing rules mean that we can\u2019t meet up with others indoors like we used to. Those of us lucky enough to have a garden will probably spend a lot more time in it this summer. Weather permitting we can use it as a safe place to catch up with friends and family. \u00a0However, an old garage<\/a> that is neglected and leaking can become a bit of an eyesore in our precious outside space. If this is the case you have several options.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1. Replace the old garage roof<\/h2>\n
This is the quickest and easiest option. A new pent garage roof or apex garage roof<\/a>, along with new verge boards and facias can give an old garage an instant facelift! A good garage roofing company can usually remove your old roof and replace it with a brand new one in just one day \u2013 even if it contains asbestos. However, the cost for this is slightly higher if there is asbestos present because materials containing asbestos have to be handled in a particular way and disposed of in a sealed container in a specialist centre.<\/div>\n

2. Remove the old garage completely<\/h2>\n
Sometimes an old garage needs more than a new roof and is completely beyond repair. You may also feel that the space it is taking up could be better used for something else.
